Natural Doctors International (NDI) is about reaching out, sharing, collaborating, promoting responsible volunteerism and service – adventures of the heart. It is about bringing together change makers for global health and working towards permanent change in all areas of health - from the individual, to the community, to the planet.
Since 2005, our naturopathic clinic on the Island of Ometepe, Nicaragua has provided over 17,000 patients free naturopathic medical care by volunteer naturopathic physicians and nearly $500,000 USD of medicines. As the future unfolds we are moving into global policy work and expansion of NDI into other areas of the world over the next few years. Our vision is to see natural medicine in general and naturopathic medicine specifically implemented into global health policy. We view the Holistic Primary Healthcare Policy, developed by OHO of Australia, as the most thorough, cutting edge policy on the planet that will help us acheive the goal of Holistic Healthcare for All by 2020!
