Work in the Field

Thank you for your interest in working in the field with Natural Doctors International. NDI recruits naturopathic physicians to work full time, dedicating at minimum 13 months of their lives to serve underserved populations around the world. Currently our only paid positions in the field are for licensed naturopathic physians, however non-medical personnel who feel they can offer a valuable service are encouraged to contact NDI.  We are looking forward to adding other providers of natural medicine, such as Chinese medicine doctors,  acupuncturists, and midwives in the near future.

Basic requirements for joining NDI naturopathic physician 13 month rotation:

• Availability for a minimum of 14 months (if you would like to serve for less time, please consider joining our Professional Corps or a CE certified Global Health Course)
• A current naturopathic medical license to practice medicine in the USA  (note: Canadian NDs will have to obtain a USA license - the Ministry of Health in Nicaragua will not accept registrations)
• All other professions: Availability for a minimum of 14 months (if you would like to serve for less time, please consider a professional corp placement.
• Spanish language skills (full time doctors conduct all consultations in spanish)
• Relevant travel or work outside the United States
