Grand Valley State University Team Visits NDI
When NDI and Dr. Parker had a chance meeting on Ometepe with Drs. Paul Lane and John Farris a couple years ago, neither expected that a mutually beneficial relationship would ensue. The GVSU team has now brought its 3rd large donation of medicines and supplies to NDI on Ometepe. Moving beyond just bringing random donations, this innovative group has come up with a wonderful project to get medical supplies and medicines from the USA to developing countries. Coining the name, Drug runner's, the group will develop an organization to link unwanted medicines and supplies in the USA with at need projects abroad. The Drug Runner's team is pictured below delivering supplies to the Moyogalpa Ministry of Health Hospital where NDI is located and Dr. Parker works. Runners are from left to right standing: Dr. John Farris, Brent Reame, Joey Pohlen, Mike Detloff, Alfredo Hernandez, Dr. Paul Lane, Dr. Tabatha Parker, Mr. Joe Pohlen and kneeling, Jacie Clapper. NDI sends a huge holiday hug to all those that helped make this great donation this year! We look forward to working with Drug Runners in the future!
